Research

We'll start by identifying the purposes of your website, what content it needs to have, and what specific features we'll need to implement.

Sitemap and Wireframe

We'll create a written outline of your website, what pages it will have, and the main sections of each page. We'll then create a wireframe (a rough visual draft) to give you an idea of what your website will look like.

Website Creation

Once you've signed off and approved the wireframe, we'll start building the website using Showit or SquareSpace. We will need to have your website assets (photos, videos, logos, graphics) ready to use by this time.

Website copy & SEO 

Once your website design is built, we'll fill in the sections with your website copy. While the copy is being worked on we will perform your SEO setup if you've added that to your package.

Website Testing

Now that your website is designed and the copy is implemented we will test out the functionality of the site - making sure links work properly, designs are formatted correctly, etc. Once we've made the proper bug fixes we will do a "soft launch". We'll publish your website and send it to family and friends to test out.

 LAUNCH!

After fixing any bugs or glitches during the testing phase, we'll officially launch your website. You can make an announcement on social media, run a promotion, etc. After it's launched we'll closely monitor your website for any further optimizations that can be made.

Can I update my website myself after it’s launched?

Absolutely. The reality is that down the line you will likely need to update content or make additions. While my services are of course available for that, you have the complete freedom to alter your website as you wish.

Do you offer copywriting or help with content?

Copywriting is not included in the website design services. I have several copywriters that I'd be happy to recommend if you need!

How long does the website design process usually take?

Timelines can vary depending on the project. However you can expect for smaller projects like template customization to take as little as 2 weeks, and larger more complex websites to take 8 weeks or more.

What’s the difference between custom and semi-custom website design?

A fully custom website is designed from scratch to match your business’s unique goals, style, and functionality. A semi-custom site uses a pre-made template as the foundation, which is then customized with your branding and content to create a tailored final result

What platforms do you design on?

Currently I design on SquareSpace and Showit. For e-commerce focused websites I'll design in Shopify or SquareSpace.

Will my site be mobile-friendly and optimized for SEO?

Yes, Absolutely! While everyone loves a good looking desktop website, the reality is that most people will visit your website on mobile. I ensure that your website looks amazing and performs well on mobile.
